Palm Jebel Ali is the second island in the Palm Trilogy, an unparalleled destination where 5 star hotels, water homes, beachside villas, seafront apartments, fascinating dive sites and world-class entertainment bask in the Arabian sun. Work on this ambitious project began in 2002 and the first residences are due for handover in early 2011.
Palm Jebel Ali will be a landmark commercial, residential and tourism development for Dubai with an estimated population of 250,000 which, along with the Waterfront project, is transforming an area of empty desert and water into a new global city with a population of around 1.7 million.
Taking poetic licence to new heights, an inspirational Arabic poem by HH Sheikh Mohammed will float on the waters surrounding the Palm and be visible from the air, illuminated at night by an innovative and dynamic lighting system.
Palm Jebel Ali will become home to the first Worlds of Discovery theme parks outside the US. This world-class entertainment offering will include SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove, with the first phase expected to open in 2012.
